EVE Dr. Yanqiu Peng attended the 2nd New Energy Battery and Key Core Materials Frontier Technology and Smart Manufacturing Summit and delivered a speech.

On the 15th of August, the 2nd New Energy Battery and Key Core Materials Frontier Technology and Smart Manufacturing Summit was held in Chengdu. EVE won the "RealLi Research Empowerment Prize.” Dr. Yanqiu Peng, Vice President of EVE Lithium Research Institute, was invited to deliver a speech on "Challenges and Opportunities of Lithium Metal Secondary Batteries.”

With the theme of “Industry Synergy, New Ecology, Science and Technology Future, New Era”, this forum focused on the technology-driven characteristics of the battery material industry, new energy battery material systems, technology research and other topics.

Dr. Yanqiu Peng introduced that compared with other negative materials, lithium metal has the advantage of high specific capacity and a wider choice of positive. Choosing lithium metal as the negative material has high feasibility and has become a research focus in recent years. However, the soft texture and easy deformation adhesion of lithium metal pose challenges to process manufacturing and engineering.

 

Based on many years of R&D and manufacturing experience, EVE has established a mature solution and system for lithium metal processing and application, with over 1.7 billion lithium metal primary battery products applied. Combined with the research on lithium metal secondary pouch battery production process in recent years, EVE has now customized and scaled production capacity for each type of lithium metal laminated battery. In the future, EVE will optimize and design lithium metal secondary batteries based on ultra-safety, find more suitable application scenarios, and realize the practical process.
