On 13th-14th April, the 2023 GGLB intelligent manufacturing summit was successfully held in Chengdu. At the summit, EVE Energy won the "2023 New Energy Intelligent Manufacturing Benchmark Enterprise”. Dr Qiang Pang, the General Manager of EVE Power’s Digital Manufacturing Department, was invited to give a speech entitled "The Road to Digital Upgrade ".
The summit focus on the discussion of intelligent manufacturing upgrade, technology transformation, efficiency improvement, and cost reduction by gathering leading industry experts to discuss the development of intelligent manufacturing.
During the summit, Dr Qiang Pang introduced, the current lithium industry is growing rapidly and the production scale is expanding dramatically, digital upgrading has become an important strategy to cope with the challenges. He believes that to achieve the optimal resource allocation of the whole element, the whole value chain, and the whole industrial chain, digital transformation, and upgrading are the keys.
Dr Qiang Pang suggested, digital construction and planning should be taking from top to bottom, and in the short term, industrial enterprises should achieve the “nine modernization”, i.e., institutionalized and systematized process management, standardized, structuring and integrating the data, and the standardization, lean and synergy of business. In the mid-term, we need to use internet data to empower management, which can advance the perception of customer quality accurately. For the long-term, we need to base on the digital system and AI algorithms to improve strategic decision-making, which can form new business models and achieve product value growth.
At present, EVE Energy’s digital system has been fully covered, and the core system has achieved autonomy, safety, and controllability. Data governance and deep integration of IT+OT are underway. In the future, we will take the construction of the Lighthouse Factory as an opportunity to carry out an in-depth exploration of intelligent maintenance, intelligent operation, intelligent manufacturing, intelligent research, and development.
During the roundtable dialogue, Dr Qiang Pang shared the following views on the digitalization of equipment operation and maintenance and artificial intelligence technology:
1. Intelligent fault diagnosis and predictive maintenance contribute to improving production yield and quality in the production process of lithium batteries;
2. Based on the supply chain synergy and interconnected information, Chat GTP and other AI technologies are expected to be deeply applied in the industrial field;
3. In terms of quality inspection in the production process, introducing more AI inspection can help to achieve high consistency of products.
At the ceremony, EVE Energy was awarded “2023 New Energy Intelligent Manufacturing Benchmark Enterprise”, and its digital construction achievements were recognized by the industry.
In the future, EVE will implement digital application scenarios in sustainability, productivity improvement, and agility services to create a digital organization, improve the level of intelligent manufacturing, and provide better quality products to our customers!
