EVE Energy Chairman Delivers Keynote at 4th International New Energy Vehicles and Power Battery Expo

On the 16th of May，The 4^th International New Energy Vehicles and Power Battery Expo（CIBF2023 Shenzhen）was held at Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center，Chairman of EVE Energy, Dr Liu Jincheng attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech, sharing the enterprise’s journey toward internationalization in the battery space.

Dr Liu Jincheng: Thank you, Mr. Fang, and thank you all who are concerned about the development of the lithium power industry. In addition to being the chairman of EVE Energy, I am also the vice president of the Chemical and Physical Power Association. Before the speech started, I followed the leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the chairman of the board to tour the museum and visited for a while before coming back to the site.

The development of China's lithium batteries has achieved a high global position, he said.
Dr. Liu largely attributed this to progress made by Chinese equipment and material companies. “We visited several equipment and material exhibition halls and saw that the stacking speed can be shortened to 0.12 seconds per piece. Compared to previous production lines and stackers purchased from South Korea in the early days, the efficiency has doubled, which is very exciting to us all,” he said.

EVE Energy has grown from a company with revenue of 200 million yuan when it listed on the Shenzhen GEM to get where it is today, achieving double growth in the two most recent years. Despite continuous changes in the market, Dr Liu still hopes to double revenue this year.

I entered the battery industry in 1985, as a senior, I strongly feel the development and great changes of the industry. The theme of EVE Energy's exhibition is "Focus on Life, Focus on Health", and our core area showcases a variety of medical devices to demonstrate the company's technological advancement in medical batteries. At present, the domestic market has two main themes: "new energy" and "long life". With the aging of our population and people's pursuit of higher quality of life, EVE will pay more attention to people's health and future, because the essence of technological progress is to focus on a better life and support Good life.

The characteristics of power batteries are different from traditional industries, such as order cycles as long as 5 or 8 years, and project profitability relies on process quality performance and efficiency improvement. At the beginning of this year, the domestic market was affected by events such as changes in national standards for fuel vehicles and fluctuations in lithium carbonate prices, and the entire lithium industry became more rational, with further deepening of risk prediction and risk resilience. In response, EVE began to focus on medical batteries and health, increase the pace of medical battery technology research and development, improve product quality, and from an international strategic vision, we are willing to work hand in hand with domestic and foreign enterprises.

Speaking of internationalization, the company officially announced the construction of green battery plants in Hungary and Malaysia on May 9 and May 12, respectively. “We have confidence in the construction of overseas projects, but we also face challenges. For example, the local does not have sufficient spare parts processing and maintenance conditions, energy and power supply is insufficient, fire guidelines differences, so on and so forth, presenting a new situation of "global manufacturing, global services, global cooperation", I believe that in the next two to three years, will also become a new wind of the lithium industry.

In order to achieve global manufacturing, we need to achieve "green logistics, delivery, after-sales" global services, global cooperation with customers, equipment manufacturers, material manufacturers, in this context, but also pay attention to the regulations, culture and costs of different countries.

For example, in Europe, we find that the locals are more restrained in their attitude towards risk, and that the local people are nourished by the blue water and blue sky of Europe. Therefore, we deepen our ties with local communities and work with them as good neighbors and partners to make the city grow better. We support local education and contribute to the local community on a cultural level, which is a very important part of the internationalization process.

During the site selection in a Polish city, the local mayor received us warmly and provided great support for our visit, travel and food. He expressed his hope that more new technology companies like EVE Energy would settle in the region, so that more young people could be attracted to stay there. We were impressed by the golden rape flowers on the 2,000 acre of land shown to us in Poland, and I was very pleased with such a sincere reception, and we can look forward to the future internationalization of EVE together.
